WYCC Closing Ceremony
The 2010 World Youth Chess Championship concluded with a grandiose closing ceremony in the packed Olympic Hall. After the final greetings from the members of the Organising Committee and the Chief Executive Officer of the Porto Carras Resort Mr Vasilis Vasilakis, the Chief Arbiter Mr Panagiotis Nikolopoulos announced the winners of all twelve age categories (video on the bottom).
Top eight finishers of each tournament were awarded, and the top three also received medals and trophies. A special 4-minute video with highlights from the World Youth was broadcasted on the big screen, followed by a 20-minute greek music program performed by local dancers.
A big “THANK YOU” to all the players, parents, coaches, arbiters and organizers for participating in this unforgettable event.

The WYCC 2010 is taking place in Porto Carras, Halkidiki / GREECE, 19 – 31 October.
